Rabbit Cataract Surgery

Rabbit Cataract Surgery

Video of the surgery of the abstract presented at the ACVO 2018 - Minneapolis entitled: Spontaneous Lens Capsule Rupture and phacoemulsification in a one year-old Chinchilla Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). One hand phacoemulsification technique was performed because of the severe atalamia originated by the phacoclastic uveitis and secondary synechia. Iris prolapse through the incision is noted during the procedure. 20 gauge vitrectomy probe was used to release iridal adhesions and also to remove the lens material. Enjoy it my friends !!! Cheers, Dr. JAK .
