ABSTRACT: Primary choroidal melanoma in a Rottweiller. Melanocytic tumors are the most common primary ocular neoplasia in dogs. They may arise from the iris, ciliary body and choroid. Choroidal melanomas usually are secondary affections from uveal melanomas. Primary choroidal neoplasias are very rare and they occur more frequently in Beagles. This report presents a sudden onset of a choroidal melanoma with scleral infiltration in a Rottweiller. KEYWORDS: Melanoma, choroidal, dog
